Business Roundtableが発表した5点の企業目的についての声明
この声明の一番目が、顧客への価値の提供（Delivering value to our customers）である。
これは本当だろうか。企業の本音は別ではないのか。
最近新しい経営手法として、ダイナミック･プライシング（DP）が注目を集めている。
DPでは、消費者余剰が最小化され、生産者余剰が最大化されることが問題と指摘されている。
DPは需要が強い時には価格を上げ、需要が弱い時には価格を下げる手法と理解されているが、それだけとは限らない。
例えば、アマゾンで実勢価格10,000円の商品を検索しているAさんとBさんがいるとしよう。Aさんはアマゾンの忠実な利用者である、価格が高めになっても利用を続けると過去の履歴から判断されている。Bさんは一見さんだが、属性を見ると今後アマゾンを使ってくれそうだ。
Aさんがその商品を見ると、11,000円の価格が提示され、Bさんには9,000円の価格が提示される。Aさんの消費者余剰は、1,000円のマイナス。Bさんのそれは、プラス1,000円である。だが、長期的には、BさんはAさんと同じく忠実なアマゾンファンになりそうだ。だから、長期的には、Bさんも損をする。
このようなことが、現実のアマゾンのサイトで起きているかどうかは、分からない。アマゾンだけが知っていることだが、実行することは可能である。
顧客への価値の提供は、きれいごとのように思える。
我が国の独禁法による巨大プラット･フォーマー規制は、DPをどのように考えているのか分からない。
11/22日経大機小機「歌を忘れた経営者」万年青は、「（富の創出という）歌」を忘れた「カナリア（経営者）」に現状肯定の論拠を与えるものでは決してない、と評している。
